Technique
Elbows under the shoulders, the body is one straight line from the heels to the head: hips neither sag nor point up.
Breathe evenly, do not hold your breath.
Usually 10-20 s is enough for a beginner; stop if the lower back hurts.
Common mistakes
- Hips sagging — squeeze glutes and abs so the body is one line.
- Hips piking up — lower them until the back is straight.
- Holding the breath — breathe steadily the whole time.
- Elbows not under the shoulders — place them right under the shoulders.
